ABCNEWS: Clarence Thomas: Progressives worse than Southern Racists...

ABCNEWS: Clarence Thomas: Progressives worse than Southern Racists...
It was a good 60 Minutes episode
"These people who claim to be progressive … have been far more vicious to me than any southerner," Thomas says, "and it is purely ideological."
Thomas talks about the virulent racism he encountered growing up in the segregated South, when blacks were considered second-class citizens and kept separate from whites by law, and he equates those attitudes with the stereotypes he believes people hold today.
"People get bent out of shape about the fact that when I was a kid, you could not drink out of certain water fountains. Well, the water was the same. My grandfather always said that, 'The water's exactly the same.' But those same people are extremely comfortable saying I can't drink from this fountain of knowledge," Thomas says. "They certainly don't see themselves as being like the bigots in the South. Well, I've lived both experiences. And I really don't see that they're any different from them."

Congress Denounces Iranian President proving that they don't dissaprove of our prescence in Iraq as much as they say they do. They've been doing nothing more than making political "hay" out of it for the sake of regaining the presidency in '08. We couldn't be in a more strategically perfect place than Iraq should we need to deal with Iran.
SARKOZY WARNS: LETTING IRAN GO NUKE COULD CAUSE WAR

Iranians Condemn US Reception of Leader...
But I know more level-headed Iranians that think otherwise.

Israeli President Shimon Peres on Tuesday criticized a U.S. university for hosting Iran's president, comparing the event to attempts to engage Adolf Hitler in dialogue before World War Two. It's worse than that though....Be for World War II, no one knew how depraved Hitler would get. Today, we have a very good idea just how atrocious a man like Aquavelvajad can be. Yet! we still give him a forum IN THE NAME OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!!!! While at the same time, shutting down speeches of our very own citizens (to whom Freedom of Speech is actually given) simply because we disagree with their scientific data let alone views and actions. This reveals the disingenuiness of those that use a right of citizenry improperly towards foreigners who kill our cititzens.

Boycott Iran

Companies that do business with Iran:

Hyundai: South Korea’s Hyundai supports Iran by supplying it with energy-related construction and development help, manufacturing components and ship maintenance. Among its other mega-deals with Iran, Hyundai recently signed a $1 billion contract along with Daewoo to build oil tankers for the regime. [22] cars

LG Engineering and Construction Co.: In 2002, South Korea’s LG Engineering and Construction Co. signed a $1.6 billion deal for a gas processing plant project in the South Pars gas fields. The company has a 45.3 stake in the deal that allows it to claim $700 million of the total project cost. [24] electronics (TV’s)

Royal Dutch Shell: In 1999, The Dutch-British energy giant, Royal Dutch Shell spent over $800 to develop two Iranian offshore oil fields. Royal Dutch Shell together with Spain’s Repsol recently signed an agreement that could result in a $10 billion contract to develop sections 13 and 14 of Iran’s South Pars gas field. [31] Oil companies

Siemens AG: Siemens AG helped build Iran’s nuclear reactor in Bushehr but officially stopped working on the site after the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Siemens AG is currently active in Iranian telecommunications, high-tech, automotive and power industries. Siemens also trades with other rogue states including Sudan and Syria. [32] tons of stuff

All these have products we can choose to boycott here in the U.S.

Free speech they say? Columbia protesters quash Minuteman speech Storm stage in near riot, forcing security to whisk away founder Gilchrist No, college students aren't interested in free speech, on the contrary, they use the tag line as an excuse for intolerance.

Your hard earned tuition dollars are sucking the humanity, civility, and reason from your college kids lives: "Our intentions weren't 'hey let's really upset the community," McSwane said. "Our intentions were let's get college students talking about freedom of speech." As if they really needed help and this was the only way to give it! Look at Columbia students. Amsterdam draws curtain on sex industry as red light windows close...
Looks like the liberal shangri la is disintegrating. But is it too late for the US to learn the lesson and reverse the course of imitating Europe by returning to common sense? Alas, a little too lttle, a little too late. Socialism still marches forward in this country by small, incrememtal steps; college students, media, Hollywood figures continue to beat the drum of change-for-change-sake (as long as it's change we haven't experienced yet), Dems continue to show their willingness to achieve their "righteous" goals by any and every means possible. When protesters and Democrate Senators alike justify everything they do and say with "Freedom of Speech" and at the same time do everything including threaten violence to silence the speech of those they disa gree with, we've got BIG problems people. There is a difference between intelligence and wisdom. The collegiate, hollwood elite and drive-by media have NOT figured that out yet. Next?
a liberal power grab of tyranny to a one party government, anarchy looms, and civil war ensues. Mark my words.
What's this have to do with Amsterdam? Not a thing. but needed to be said. Crush the smug class.

Greenspan Clarifies

Alan Greenspan, the former Federal Reserve chairman, said in an interview that the removal of Saddam Hussein had been "essential" to secure world oil supplies, a point he emphasized to the White House in private conversations before the 2003 invasion of Iraq..........."I was not saying that that's the administration's motive," Greenspan said in an interview Saturday, "I'm just saying that if somebody asked me, 'Are we fortunate in taking out Saddam?' I would say it was essential..............Given that, "I'm saying taking Saddam out was essential," he said. But he added that he was not implying that the war was an oil grab."

"LBJ's Great Society: One More Decade Oughta Do It";
"Dumb it Down for Democrats in '08";
"Democrat Victory Through Defeat of the United States"; and
"We're Winning, Let's Quit."

In covering the 2008 presidential campaign, the network morning news shows are "overwhelmingly focused on Democrats, [and] they are actively promoting the Democrats' liberal agenda," according to a study released today by the conservative Media Research Center (MRC).The study examined 517 campaign segments on the morning news shows broadcast on ABC, CBS and NBC in the first seven months of 2007. It found that the shows covered Democrats "nearly twice as much" as Republicans and framed interview questions from a liberal perspective most of the time.

People who come into the United States illegally and then become victims of crime may get special protection from the U.S. government.The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on Wednesday announced an interim final rule that grants "temporary immigration benefits" to crime victims who assist government officials in investigating or prosecuting the criminal activity.

The only problem with this is that it encourages false reports of crimes and adds to the over burdened and understaffed (thanks Pelosi and Reid) court system.
