What happened to the internal Iraqi government documents that top U.S. weapons inspector David Kay said had convinced him that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction?
In January 2004, Kay told Congress that the U.S. was "almost all wrong" in believing that Saddam had WMDs.
But six months earlier in July 2003, Kay said he was sure Iraq had the banned weapons - based on millions of pages of internal government documents recovered from Saddam's regime.
"I've already seen enough to convince me," Kay told then-NBC anchorman Tom Brokaw. "You cannot believe how many cases we have of documents and equipment that are stored in private residences," he added. Pulls Anti-War TV Ad Following Criticism

Sen. Clinton Defends Iraq War Vote
"I take responsibility for my vote, and I...take responsibility for the false assurances, faulty evidence and mismanagement of the war," the New York senator said in a lengthy letter to thousands of people who have written her about the war.
At the same time, she said the United States must "finish what it started" in Iraq.

In Belushi widow's book,Woodward is no hero
"It was my first experience of getting tricked by a journalist," says Belushi's "Continental Divide" co-star Blair Brown. "I really felt betrayed, and it made me question all of his other work."

Sens. Jack Reed (D-R.I.) and John Kerry (D-Mass.) responded to President Bush's "strategy for victory in Iraq" speech on Wednesday again, without offering any alternatives of their own.

Reaping What They Sow
IT’S AS IF RACHEL CORRIE WERE KILLED BY THE PLO, and her parents blamed Israel, anyway. Yesterday, the previously unknown jihadist group “The Swords of Righteousness Brigade” took hostage four Westerners – including American Tom Fox – for allegedly acting as “undercover spies.” However, all four men belonged to Christian Peacemaker Teams, a “peace” organization of human shields that blamed 9/11 on American foreign policy, ran an “Adopt-a-Detainee” campaign, regularly interfered with Israeli anti-terror operations, trespassed at a U.S. military base during wartime, has waged a relentless propaganda campaign against the American “occupation” of Iraq, has demonstrated against Americans and capitalists around the world – and blames the abduction of its members on President Bush.

Dems Ignore Troop Morale Poll (and Iraqi citizen polls for that matter)

Saturday, November 26, 2005

Fed up with being endlessly told "the American people" have turned against the war in Iraq, Republicans asked the Democrats to show what they had in their hand and vote on a resolution to withdraw the troops. By a vote of 403-3, the House of Representatives wasn't willing to bet that "the American people" want to pull out of Iraq. (This vote also marked the first time in recent history that the Democrats did not respond to getting their butts kicked by demanding a recount.) The vote is all the more shocking because of what it says about the Democrats' motives in attacking the war — as well as alerting us to three members of Congress we really need to keep an eye on. The Democrats are giving aid and comfort to the enemy for no purpose other than giving aid and comfort to the enemy. There is no plausible explanation for the Democrats' behavior other than that they long to see U.S. troops shot, humiliated, and driven from the field of battle. They fill the airwaves with treason, but when called to vote on withdrawing troops, disavow their own public statements. These people are not only traitors, they are gutless traitors.

Dietary Flip-Flops:

A. High-fat dairy food linked to low cancer risk Colorectal-disease threat less for those eating a lot of cheese --Reuters

B. Decaf coffee may raise levels of harmful cholesterol

C. Being 'fat' may not be a health risk
PEOPLE who are officially classed as overweight are not necessarily putting their health at risk and going on a diet could be dangerous, according to new research.
A row has been raging after a controversial US study earlier this year found that those deemed to be overweight - because of their high weight to height ratio - actually had a lower chance of dying prematurely than people whose weight was "normal". THEN Universal Health Care in England is discriminating against heavier people and requiring un-safe weight loss before allowing hip and knee replacements
. Boy! Science is SOOO reliable!!!! You'd think the anti-God crowd would be tired of all the flip-flops from their deity: Science.

Since the sexual revolution escalated forty years ago, morality in America has been in a state of rapid decline. In only four decades, we have gone from a country of traditional family values to a nation of widespread promiscuity, cohabitation, soaring divorce rates, and an explosion of sexual crime committed against women and children. How could things go so wrong so fast?
Many experts answer this question with two words: Alfred Kinsey.

The congressman at the center of the battle last week over withdrawal of troops from Iraq removed the results from his own Internet poll on the subject after online voters overwhelmingly opposed his stance.
Rep. Jack Murtha, D-Pa., posted the poll after he ignited a firestorm in the House that led to Republicans forcing a quick vote on the issue Friday.
While a revised poll page remains on the site, the link to it from his homepage has been removed, making the survey effectively invisible to the public.

Article on Exhibit 360 in the Kitzmiller v. Dover (Pa.) School District Intelligent Design trial

Starting Wednesday, a major national television ad campaign will begin that features Iraqi Kurds thanking the United States for liberating them from Saddam Hussein. This is the message that has not been reported by the old-line media: the people of Iraq are happy that Saddam is gone and they want to say "Thank You" to America. The Kurdish region of Iraq is in the northern portion of that nation. Iraqi Kurdistan has been operating with a democracy for more than 10 years (their safety provided by 10-years of air cover by U.S. and British jets in the "No Fly Zone" in Iraq). Please - go watch these ads. The first one, "Thank You America" is the ad you will be seeing beginning on the Fox News Channel (running nationwide). And make sure you show this to everyone you know. Each time I've seen this ad I've been nearly brought to tears, seeing these people survive the murderous regime of Saddam Hussein and showing such warm and sincere appreciation for the United States.Go watch the ad right now:

Carter condemns abortion culture
While Mr. Carter has previously expressed ambivalence about abortion, his statements yesterday were "astonishing," said Robert Knight, director of the Culture and Family Institute at Concerned Women for America. "He has long professed to be an evangelical Christian and yet he had embraced virtually all the liberal political agenda," said Mr. Knight. "Maybe with Jimmy Carter saying things he never uttered before, more liberals will rethink their worship of abortion as the high holy sacrament of liberalism."

Day Eight: Now that the mainstreamers can't keep the knowledge that Paris is being burned by Muslims from coming to light. I can't help but ponder the irony.
Riots have now continued for eight days in and around Paris. Thursday night, November 3, Muslim rioters burned 315 cars. In the previous week, they torched 177 vehicles and burned numerous businesses, a post office, and two schools. They have rampaged through twenty towns and shot at police and firemen. In an episode that summed up the failure of France’s efforts to create a domestic, domesticated Islam, when moderate Muslim leader Dalil Boubakeur, head of the Paris mosque, tried to restore calm, his car was pelted with stones and he had to rush away.
