More on Illegal Immigration

Millions of people from around the world are here inAmerica illegally. The issue of their status andwhether they can stay or not is not the focus of thispiece, the assumption is that one way or another theyare going to STAY here.

Recently, May of 2006, Mexicos President (VicenteFox) cam to America and was heralded by Mexicans wholive here, referred to as Mexicans Living Abroad.Unlike every other groups of people who has come toAmerica this group, more and more, is demonstratingnot that they want to be Americans but, rather, thatthey are loyal Mexicans living in America for purelyeconomic reasons.

When Fox was in the US, in Utah, his Mexicans LivingAbroad (10% of the Mexican population) greeted hisspeech with cries of Vive Mexico.

For Americans this was no doubt irritating, after allmany are here illegally, demanding rights (even theright to vote), and here they are swearing loyalty toa foreign power. The question is, however, what aboutthe church? What should the church be saying aboutthis?

The situation in Mexico is truly desperate, althoughthe economy is one of the best in Latin America. WhileMexico ranks number two in terms of Gross DomesticProduct on a per capita basis and number one overallfor the total size of their economy, the top 10% ofthe people have untold wealth while over 50% of thepeople are living subsistence lives.

The real problem in Mexico is not the economy itselfbut, rather, the total lack of economic justice. Thesituation would have boiled over into a civil war orsomething like that except that Mexico has an outletthat keeps the disaffected from turning on thegovernment: the truly angry and disaffected can LEAVEMexico and go to America.

This system works fabulously well for the wealthy,corrupt rulers. First, would b dissenters leave,second the immigrants send money home and the richMexicans get to keep over charging and under payingtheir families at home, and the rich Americancompanies are able to pay their workers next tonothing and still charge normal prices for the goodsand services produced.

If we examine the problem of illegal immigration thefirst losers are the common people of Mexico. Thepeople of Mexico have been led to believe that the USis both the problem and the solution regarding theireconomic status: because of the US they are poor andif they leave Mexico they will be rich. Meanwhile,those leaders who CREATED the horrible ills thatplague the people continue to demand and receive theloyalty of those people, as witnessed by Fox beinglauded by the very people his nations policies havedriven from them homes due to poverty into onlyslightly better living conditions and bondage up here.

The problem is not the people. The problem is thegovernment and the business leaders of Mexico: theyare the enemies of the People, not only of Mexico andAmerica but of the People of God who come from allnations.

The US government is not going to stop the flow, thereare too many rich Americans who would like to live offthe work of poor Mexicans like rich Mexicans do. The real fight is not against these illegals, it is ON THERE BEHALF.

Since this is where most Americans get their info, is it any wonder they are all misinformed? Imagine, if most people had the truth. YEs, there is truth and it should be sought after AND found. Without it, we will never have a moral compass with which to govern society.

Illegal Immigration

I don’t care what country someone hails from, what the color of their skin is, or how friendly a person is. If they break our laws to get in the country, they need to go.

Reasons against:

1. Increases on health care costs by: a. Emergency room walk-ins; b. importation of diseases once conquered in the U.S. but thriving in third world countries; c. unsanitary living conditions of over-crowded immigrant quarters.
2. Fallacy that they only do work that our citizens will not do. Although it has started out this way we see many traditional blue-collar jobs slipping into the realm of “too lowly for the citizen.” Jobs such as construction jobs that I and many other citizens would gladly have accepted when they were at decent wage levels, now are undercut by low wage workers. Landscapers, cooks, drywallers, carpenters, you name it. This trend will continue to work its way up the wage scale into jobs that have yet to be threatened. Contractors and other employers will see an opportunity to cut their salary expenses drastically and start hiring illegals if it becomes acceptable (many already have).
3. Once illegal immigrant workers become acceptable, lobbying will begin to take place in an attempt to improve immigrant working conditions and salaries; effectively eliminating the original premise with the end result of just increasing the countries population, decreasing its standard of living and overall health.
4. Illegal immigrants are known to use fake Social Security numbers in order to obtain credit to buy commodities of all sorts. Can we really expect them to keep a clean credit record if they can merely get a new number after trashing the old one? After all, they were willing to skirt our laws getting in the country, obtaining false ID’s and Social Security numbers, why should they care about the health of someone else’s SSN?
5. Illegal immigrants are often times (and commonly) paid “under the table.” This eliminates the tax revenue argument.
6. Many of their wages is sent out of the country to their country of origin thereby stimulating that countries economy; not ours.
7. Politicians from a party that shall remain un-named actively support their numbers as they view their presence as an opportunity to obtain their illegal vote. Let's call them "Un-documented Voters). Take the Motor-votor law for example. It’s harder for someone to rent a video at Blockbuster than it is to vote. Why? Because these illegal votes always go for those that promise them more handouts.
8. No country can sustain uncontrolled immigration without spiraling into an inflationary economy rife with stagnation (Northern Europe anyone?).
9. Jumping in front of law biding immigrant applicants is wrong.
10. Finally, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, open borders are a danger to our security. al qaeda or anyone else with an axe to grind can simply get in through the Mexican border with a dirty bomb (or worse) and move about freely to reek havoc on any metropolitan area within our borders.

Bad idea people!

We cannot afford the long term consequences of this foolish action simply to appease our feelings of sympathy for non-citizens no matter how nice they are or how good our present economy is at present.

I have kids and I wish them to inherit a decent, thriving country without fear of disaster of any kind. I love my kids first. We are a country of laws. This is as it should be. They should be for the sustaining of our countries well being and shouldn’t be watered down for the sake of those who are easily duped into feeling like they would be biased or racist or uncaring if they don’t just decimate our current system.

History, reason and human nature are all indicators of the aforementioned reasons. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the foolishness of allowing these things to occur-just a rational mind.
