ACORN received an early Christmas present this holiday season when Barack Obama’s Attorney General, Eric Holder released a decision allowing ACORN to continue to receivefederal funds - despite a pesky law enacted earlier this year which bars ACORN's access to federal funds.

The bipartisan intent of Congress was clear – no more taxpayer dollars should flow to ACORN.

This Administration continues to look for every excuse possible to circumvent the intent of Congress. Taxpayers should not have to continue subsidizing a criminal enterprise that helped Barack Obama get elected president.

The politicization of the Justice Department to pay back one of the president's political allies is shameful and reeks of old-fashioned cronyism.

For months, Democratic committee Chairmen have refused to hold hearings on ACORN.

Yesterday, as the Ranking Republican on the House Oversight and Reform Committee, together with the Ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, I hosted a forum on ACORN to bring light to the numerous additional whistleblowers and new documents that continue to paint the full picture of an organization built to garner political power and pay favors to the friends of powerful politicians.

At the forum, whistleblower Anita MonCrief, and other witnesses like the Indiana Secretary of State explained how ACORN systematically exploits low-income Americans, pressuring them enroll in a membership scheme which debits $10 per month from their bank account, often immediately after contacting them to, ostensibly to provide advice on their troubled home loans.

The witnesses also detailed a pattern of partisan political behavior, all of which contradicts ACORN's assertions that it does not use federal funds or tax-deductible charitable donations for partisan politicking.

Democrats refuse to hold ACORN accountable, but I won’t rest until we know the whole truth about ACORN's illicit activities.

The "Certification of Live Birth" posted online and widely touted as "Obama's birth certificate" does not in any way prove he was born in Hawaii, since the same "short-form" document is easily obtainable for children not born in Hawaii. The true "long-form" birth certificate – which includes information like the name of the birth hospital and attending physician – is the only document that can prove Obama was born in Hawaii, but to date he has not permitted its release for public or press scrutiny.

The U.S. Census Bureau, reflecting what apparently is becoming a political position that involves more than one federal agency, has listed "hate groups," "law enforcement" "and "anti-immigrant groups" among those that would be refused permission to become a partner with the 2010 Census. On his first day in office, January 21, 2009, Obama signed Executive Order 13489. This order was entered into the Federal Register on January 26, 2009. 

What this executive order says, is that only the Attorney General (Eric Holder) and Council to the President, (Gregory Craig) are able to review presidential records requests and determine if they can be made public or not. (See Section 3) 
In other words, you aren't going to see any records or documents that Obama doesn't want you to see. 
It shouldn't surprise anyone that Obama's first official act was to deny access to his records. Obama has lived for 48 years without leaving any footprints -- none! There is no Obama documentation -- no bona fides -- no paper trail -- nothing.

White House Denies Charge By Attorney that Administration Threatened to Destroy Investment Firm's Reputation*

A leading bankruptcy attorney representing hedge funds and money managers told ABC News Saturday that Steve Rattner, the leader of the Obama administration's Auto Industry Task Force, threatened one of the firms, an investment bank, that if it continued to oppose the administration's Chrysler bankruptcy plan, the White House would use the White House press corps to destroy its reputation.

A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines "rightwing extremism in the United States" as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority. It's a shocking document, folks.  The report warns of "rightwing extremism" andWashington Times reveals that the report defines such extremism as, "groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority" and "groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."

Barack Obama's administration is basically telling law enforcement that the potential enemy to this country and law-and-order are individuals who are pro-life, want the U.S. border secured, and believe in state's rights.  And it gets even worse:  the DHS report says military men and women returning from Iraqand Afghanistan should be perceived to be a potential threat.  How dare Obama and his administration attempt to tarnish the noble, honorable and selfless service of our brave troops!

It's all part of Obama's efforts to silence and marginalize conservatives so he can push his radical far-Left agenda through, unfettered.
