CLEAR EXPLANATION OF TAX CUTS
Sometimes politicians, journalists and others exclaim; "It's just a taxcut for the rich!" and it is just accepted to be fact, withoutquestioning it. But what does that really mean?Just in case you are not completely clear on this issue, the followingmight help. Let's put tax cuts in terms everyone can understand.Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for allten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.The fifth would pay $1.The sixth would pay $3.The seventh would pay $7.The eighth would pay $12.The ninth would pay $18.The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.So, that's what they decided to do.The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with thearrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. "Since youare all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost ofyour daily beer by $20. "Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes sothe first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free.What about the other six men, those paying the tab? How could theydivide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?'They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtractedthat from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man wouldeach end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggestedthat it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the sameamount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33% savings).The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28% savings).The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).Each of the six was better off than before. And the first fourcontinued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the menbegan to compare their savings. "I only got a dollar out of the20, "declared the sixth man.
He pointed to the tenth man," but he got $10!"
"Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than I!"
"That's true!!" shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!"
"Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!"The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine satdown and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill,they discovered something important. They didn't have enough moneybetween all of them for even half of the bill!And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is howour tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the mostbenefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for beingwealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they mightstart drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

Mike Huckabee apologized to Mitt Romney on Wednesday for saying, "Don't Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers?"
Mormonism teaches that Jesus and Lucifer are brothers who competed for the opportunity to become the savior of planet earth. Jesus' plan won approval and Lucifer rebelled and became the tempter and deceiver of planet Earth.President Spencer W. Kimball wrote" "Long before you were born a program was developed by your creators ... The principal personalities in this great drama were a Father Elohim, perfect in wisdom, judgment, and person, and two sons, Lucifer and Jehovah." (Teachings of Spencer W. Kimball, p. 32-33). Mormon men are working with the promise that they, too, will eventually become gods and be given a planet of their own to populate. This will be accomplished by their intercourse with many wives who will bear millions of spirit children to inhabit the bodies of the people on their planet.
Just as the Muslims believe that the old Testament is scripture, they look to the Quran as their holy book. Same with the Mormons. They believe the bible is holy, "in so far as it is translated correctly," and only their church leaders can say which parts are translated correctly. If any part of the bible goes against the book of Mormon, that portion of the bible is thrown out. I've seen bishops black out portions of the bible for teenagers that they believe were not translated correctly. And, their early leaders DID teach that Satan and Jesus were brothers, that Adam was a god, and that temple mormons can still marry multiple times for heavenly purposes, but only have one earthly wife. What scares me about electing a mormon who uses the bible to answer questions when asked about Mormonism is that he doesn't take the time to do true research on his own religion, but follows it blindly, like so many 8 year olds I've personally seen stand up and give "testimony" that Joseph Smith was a prophet of god, when at 8, NO ONE can give testimony based on personal conviction. What scares me about electing a Mormon president who doesn't use his own scripture, the Book of Mormon, to answer questions when asked about his religion is that he'll answer questions and tell people what he thinks they want to hear, use their words and not his own, and pull the wool over people's eyes by not researching a question thoroughly enough and with enough historical accuracy that it can't be proven incorrect. Any man who would not know enough about his own religion to answer that "although it is true that the Doctrine of Covenants shows that the belief that Jesus and Satan were brothers was taught by early leaders of the church, we do not teach that or believe that now. All religions have man made errors, but we have an error free God," is just spouting what he's been told to say since a young age, without taking the time to make sure what he's saying is correct. In the case of Mormonism, religion has everything to do with the decision to elect a Mormon president or not. Their religion isn't just what they do on Sunday, it's who they are, all the way down to their temple garments. So, yes, Huckabee was correct. They have taught that in the past. That's the answer that should have been given, not the "dig myself out of a hole" answer that was given. That answer shows forethought and the ability to lie and hide the truth instead of being truthful and honest, and believe me, Mormonism is not about being open, honest and truthful... just try going into the temple without being a temple Mormon, you won't make it to the door. Why all the secrets? Haven't we as a country had ENOUGH secrets?

As many recognize, the latest NIE on Iran’s nuclear weapons program directly contradicts what the U.S. Intelligence Community was saying just two years previously. And it appears that this about-face was very recent. How recent?
Consider that on July 11, 2007, roughly four or so months prior to the most recent NIE’s publication, Deputy Director of Analysis Thomas Fingar gave the following testimony before the House Armed Services Committee (emphasis added):
Iran and North Korea are the states of most concern to us. The United States’ concerns about Iran are shared by many nations, including many of Iran’s neighbors. Iran is continuing to pursue uranium enrichment and has shown more interest in protracting negotiations and working to delay and diminish the impact of UNSC sanctions than in reaching an acceptable diplomatic solution. We assess that Tehran is determined to develop nuclear weapons--despite its international obligations and international pressure. This is a grave concern to the other countries in the region whose security would be threatened should Iran acquire nuclear weapons.
The authors are known to outright oppose Pres Bush's policies, and now all of a sudden, we are to believe the intelligence? Without questioning? Clinton says we must now return to diplomancy. Diplomacy for what? If they aren't doing anything, what do we need to engage in diplomacy for? I gues even Ahmadinejad himself is a liar and the report knows stuff that even he doesn't. I mean, he's admitted developing enriched uranium, what else do you need? Is the world insane? Can it be convinced of anything in the name of anti-Bush?

The "debate" involved many questions designed not so much to highlight the candidates' differences (other than Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney on immigration) but to place the entire conservative agenda in a negative light.
At last count, at least 7 of these supposedly "undecided Republicans" were Democratic supporters of one candidate or another. Clinton News Network knew enough to fly the gay General in who posed a loaded question. Can anyone use Google? It's easy to find their backgrounds. These are lying liberals....both the candidates and their media are willing to cheat to win. If we aren't careful and quick to shut this down, we will be facing a situation similar to that of Venezuala. A one party government without arms to fix the tyranny. Many questions had already been raised about the reliability of the new machines, which leave no paper trails for the purposes of recounts. But federal officials were investigating whether Smartmatic, owner of Sequoia Voting Systems, was secretly controlled by the Castroite revolutionary leader of Venezuela who denounced President Bush as Satan in a 2006 United Nations address.
