If there ever was a time to let Bush stack the Supreme Court (eminent domain) it's NOW! The scariest thing about this story is that most people have no idea what it implies. Private land ownership is the cornerstone of any free society, and it has just been taken away from ours. Yet around the water cooler, locker rooms and restaurants of America, you hear nothing. The rug has been pulled out from underneath everyone without anyone really noticing. We are all too wrapped up in the microcosms of our own lives to care about anything until it actually happens to us.
Unbelievable. I suddenly remember why I am a gun owner.
"When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."

Fellow Americans,
It's appalling to observe the conduct of some of America's politicians during these important times for our nation.
Certain politicians are so interested in promoting their own political self-interest that they are willing to bring this nation down in the process.
Take Democrat Senators Dick Durbin and Pat Leahy. Senator Durbin (D-IL) accused American servicemen and women of engaging in conduct akin to the "Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime -- Pol Pot or others."
Senator Leahy (D-VT) has taken to the TV and radio airwaves, attacking U.S. troops for the deaths of "tens of thousands of Iraqi lives that have been lost since the fall of Hussein."
What makes their conduct so deplorable is that they know they are spreading lies.
The U.S. treatment of enemy combatants is unmatched and those who have objectively reported on the conduct of U.S. Troops have reported this. You can also read more about it RIGHT HERE.
This is part of a deliberate effort - between leftist politicians and liberal journalists to undermine America's support for our troops and the war against terrorism.
We can't sit back and allow this to happen. We're going to fight back on the airwaves - but we need the help of every American who supports our troops.
Those of us who stand behind our troops and what they are doing have it as our duty to stand up and speak for them - to advocate on behalf of the missions they serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Our troops are NOT torturers. Our troops are not akin to the Nazi S.S. troops that orchestrated the horrific atrocities against the Jewish people. Anyone who says that are troops are acting improperly - while making the charges without corroboration or evidence - must recognize that this hurts our troops. Anyone who says we should close down the U.S. Detention Facility at Guantanamo Bay is only serving to advance the interests of those who wish America harm.
We must stand up and fight back - enough is enough of the liberal media attacking our troops and only reporting on every piece of bad news they can find.
Enough of the far-left politicians using the bully pulpit of Congress to launch their tirades condemning the U.S. military.
Those of us in the silent majority need to get off of our behinds and challenge these people in the court of public opinion.
Our production crew is right now hard at work preparing a new television ad that stands up for our troops and takes on those politicians who seek to defame them.
We want this ad shown night and day throughout the country.
The "Blame America First" crowd folks like Senator Durbin and Senator Leahy and the editorial page of the New York Times are challenging the integrity and decency of our soldiers, Marines, sailors and airmen. Well - not any more - not at least without us fighting back!

Rush Limbaugh: Media Driving Backlash Against Hillary Book
Predictions that Ed Klein's new book, "The Truth About Hillary," will backfire and actually increase Sen. Clinton's popularity are coming from reporters who are trying to quash interest in Klein's revelations, top media conservative Rush Limbaugh said Tuesday.
Story Continues Below
"I think this backlash is being created by the press," Limbaugh told his radio audience, adding, "Do you not find it curious that the press is not curious about [Klein's] allegations?"
"If it causes a backlash, it's because of what the press is going to say about who's pushing this book," he predicted, "not because of anybody who's read the book and what they're saying about it."
Limbaugh called press reaction to Klein's "Truth" "a classic illustration of how the media is circling the wagons to protect Mrs. Clinton."
"There may well be a backlash," he said, but noted, "I think the press is trying to create that very backlash before it even happens."
"I think there's a mythical backlash going on right now," Limbaugh charged, noting, "You haven't heard any outrage from the American people" because the book was just released today.
Limbaugh said that if a genuine backlash against the Klein book does emerge, "It's one that's being set up by the press."
"It's very rare that you see the media circle the wagons to defend a politician," he noted. "You just don't see it, other than with the Clintons."

Bush Critic Contradicts 'Downing Street Memo' Charge
former U.S. Ambassador Joseph Wilson admitted that "we all believed" Saddam had WMD.
"I believe the threat to the United States posed by Saddam's weapons of mass destruction -- which we all believed he had -- could have been dealt with using something less violent than the invasion, conquest and occupation of Iraq," Wilson said in a response to a question from Cybercast News Service following a Democrat-sponsored hearing on the matter.
But we ALL know that the Democrat Senator's and ex-Presidents believed it as well. They just leave that part out these days. Selective amnesia, I guess.

The Howard Dean blackout
You gotta admire the liberal media’s modesty. For the last three years, it has been promoting the story that the Bush administration has a policy of torturing terror detainees. Now, such mouthpieces of the anti-administration Left as the New York Times are calling for the closure of the Guantanamo Bay detention facility on the ground that its reputation for prisoner abuse is jeopardizing the war on terror. Take some credit, guys! It may be true that Guantanamo Bay has become synonymous with lawlessness throughout vast swathes of the Western and Muslim worlds. But no one is more responsible for that reputation than the New York Times, Newsweek, the Washington Post, and other mainstream media outlets, which have never encountered a prisoner-abuse story that they didn’t find credible and worthy of broadcast.
We now know that Bush actually got better scores in Yale, but:

Ten Most Harmful Books of the 19th and 20th Centuries
William Haseltine, CEO of Human Genome Sciences, Inc., of Rockville, Maryland. He is a leading advocate for embryonic stem cells, but here's the interesting thing he said: “The routine utilization of human embryonic stem cells for medicine is 20 to 30 years hence. The timeline to commercialization is so long that I simply would not invest. You may notice that our company has not made such investments.” And what's going on in California with the taxpayers funding embryonic stem cell research is that the taxpayers are funding what the venture capitalists will not fund. And that's exactly what's going on in this city: People are trying to get the federal taxpayers to fund what the venture capitalists will not fund

Leaving the left
I can no longer abide the simpering voices of self-styled progressives -- people who once championed solidarity
A Rush Interview:RUSH: Yeah, exactly. How long has this piece of yours been in the works? It sounds like it didn't happen overnight.
THOMPSON: No, it did not happen overnight. And, you know, I've got -- by the way, you'll be interested to hear that I've gotten lots of response. But you know something? I have gotten a significant number of e-mails, over 200 from people in the Bay Area who describe themselves as progressives, as liberals, and even on the left, who said, "You have spoken for me. You've put words to something. Look, I still don't agree with Bush on the following issues, but I cannot abide this any longer myself," and I only gotten a handful of really negative stuff from what I call "the psychiatric wing of the party," the really crazy types. But I tell you, I don't mean to say that I'm a pied piper, I just had my ear to the ground and I'm looking to my own heart and I've been feeling this for some time. One person wrote me and said, "Gee, you know, you felt that about Ronald Reagan back in the eighties about the Soviet Union. How come it took you this long?" and I thought about it. I wrote him back and I said, "Have you ever had one of those experiences where, you know, when you take the garbage out on a Thursday morning -- they're going to pick up the garbage on a Thursday morning -- you set the garbage in a plastic bag on the inside of the door Wednesday night intending to take it out? Well, I forgot to take it out for about ten years," which is to say these thoughts had been ruminating and marinating, and truly it was a pivotal point for me. It all came together when I saw after the Iraq elections the people on Fox News and CNN, on your show and all the other, and mainstream -- you know, NBC, CBS, all of them. The people cheering for the Iraqis were conservative.
RUSH: Yeah.
THOMPSON: The people who were looking for -- spinning marvelous variety of excuses about why democracy is still likely, could very well fail, Nancy Pelosi, Lynn Woolsey, my congresswoman here in California, Ted Kennedy, so-called legitimate mainstream liberals putting forth remarkably well thought out scenarios about how it could fail, and I said, "What is going on?"
RUSH: How they wanted it to fail, Keith.
THOMPSON: Oh, wanted it to fail, absolutely correct.
RUSH: They wanted it to fail.
THOMPSON: They needed it because they need -- the line I felt strongest about was, "They wanted democracy to fail more than they loved freedom," or they wanted George Bush to fail. There's a mania. I mean, you know it well. You deal with it every day. There has not been this mania in the country against a president since Nixon, and I gotta tell you, that includes Bill Clinton. I supported Bill Clinton. He was kind of the last straw for me -- and I know he took a lot of hard-core stuff from the right, but I'll tell you, nothing like Nixon and Bush have received from the left.
RUSH: I got one minute here before I have to take a break. Where do you think the left is headed?
THOMPSON: I think it's a historical defunct dead end. I think, you know [a] scientist said, science precedes "funeral by funeral," and that's a way of saying when people who can't change don't change they die off. It sounds Machiavellian, but I think there's a new generation of young people, they read books like South Park Conservatives. They're not buying it anymore.
RUSH: Well, we'll see. It's clearly a point of view that you've written about that has not yet reached the leadership of the Democratic Party.
THOMPSON: No, I don't mean to say that. They're going to hold on, and there are some good people that call themselves liberals. When I call myself a liberal I mean it in the sense of liberal democracy. If you read Bobby Kennedy's speech in 1966 in South Africa, it reads like something you'd give or Bill Bennett would give.
RUSH: Well, the same thing with Hubert Humphrey talking about "family values" back in the sixties, and that's the thing that amazed me, and it's what your piece is really all about and that is the liberals of today-- Well, let's put it this way: JFK, were he to be alive today thinking as he thought when he was alive, would not have a home in the liberal wing of the Democratic Party. Keith, I gotta run but it's great to hear from you. A great piece, and thanks for the call.

The Real Reason the Dem's are so Afraid of Republican Judicial appointees!
Abortion and Religious beliefs. It's all about baby killing and Christaphobia.
Only 53% of Appelate Court Judges have been confirmed (far below the 85-95% average prior to George Bush's administration), leaving vacancies for almost 6 years. Senate rules have changed many times throughout our American history and NEVER has the fillibuster been used in this many with such obstructionist motives towards judicial nominations. Democrats invented the filibuster of judicial nominees in 2003, when the previous congress was in session, in order to defeat many of President Bush’s conservative nominees to the federal circuit courts. The filibuster strategy developed out of the Democrats' concern for the fact that Republicans commanded a majority in the Senate and were in a position to approve all the president's appellate-level judicial nominees. As a result of the new filibuster tactic employed by the Democrats, President Bush has had the lowest confirmation rate for such appointments in the history of the U. S. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that Judicial appointees may be denied a up or down vote. It does say the majority vote wins and not that the minority that gets to make the rules and decisions.
Ladies and Gentlemen, witness the implosion of the liberal Democratic party.
What Revoltin' Bolten Is All About:
Don't Listen to the Left: It's Not About Bolton
by David Limbaugh
Posted May 19, 2005
Sen. Joe Biden, in his laborious monologue to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee concerning the appointment of John Bolton as ambassador to the United Nations last weekl, denied he and other Democrats were on a witchhunt against Bolton. Granted. The fight isn't about Bolton but President Bush. Their primary purpose is not to smear Bolton, though that's a sacrifice they're willing to make; it's to thwart the president's foreign policy, with which they radically disagree. It's to prevent him from exercising his constitutional authority to appoint qualified and respectable individuals to represent him in various departments of government.
Would someone please tell the Democrats they lost the 2004 elections and they'll have another shot in 2006 and again in 2008? I'm doubtful Republican officeholders are going to tell them, much less show them.
Bolton Accuser - Anti Bush Activist Who Committed Plagiarism
The news media and Democrats on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee have been despicable in their anti-John Bolton smear campaign. What they've not reported to you is that the highly touted Bolton critic, Melody Townsel - who accused Bolton of 'acting like a madman' and chasing her through the halls of a Russian hotel - was an anti-Bush activist (she founded the Dallas Chapter of "Mothers Opposing Bush") who has been discredited by her superiors and forced to come forward to admit that she committed plagiarism when serving as a journalist.

Right now the failure of our families is hurting America deeply. When families fall, society falls. The anarchy and lack of structure in our inner cities are testament to how quickly civilization falls apart when the family foundation cracks. Children need love and discipline. A welfare check is not a husband. The state is not a father. It is from parents that children come to understand values and themselves as men and women, mothers and fathers.
And for those concerned about children growing up in poverty, we should know this: marriage is probably the best anti-poverty program of them all. Among families headed by married couples today, there is a poverty rate of 5.7 percent. But 33.4 percent of families are headed by a single mother are in poverty today.
Nature abhors a vacuum. Where there are no mature, responsible men around to teach boys how to become good men, gangs serve in their place. In fact, gangs have become a surrogate family for much of a generation of inner-city boys. I recently visited with some former gang members in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In a private meeting they told me why they had joined gangs. These teenage boys said that gangs gave them a sense of security. They made them feel wanted, and useful. They got support from their friends. And, they said, "It was like having a family." "Like family" - unfortunately, that says it all.
The system perpetuates itself as these young men father children whom they have no intention of caring for, by women whose welfare checks support them. Teenage girls, mired in the same hopelessness, lack sufficient motive to say no to this trap.
Answers to our problems won't be easy. We can start by dismantling a welfare system that encourages dependency and subsidizes broken families. We can attach conditions - such as school attendance, or work - to welfare. We can limit the time a recipient gets benefits. We can stop penalizing marriage for welfare mothers. We can enforce child support payment.
Ultimately, however, marriage is a moral issue that requires cultural consensus, and the use of social sanctions. Bearing babies irresponsibly is, simply, wrong. Failure to support children one has fathered is wrong. We must be unequivocal about this.
It doesn't help matters when prime time TV has Murphy Brown - a character who supposedly epitomizes today's intelligent, highly paid, professional woman - mocking the importance of a father, by bearing a child alone, and calling it just another "lifestyle choice."
I know it is not fashionable to talk about moral values, but we need to do it. Even though our cultural leaders in Hollywood, network TV, the national newspapers routinely jeer at them, I think that most of us in this room know that some things are good, and other things are wrong. Now it's time to make the discussion public.
It's time to talk again about family, hard work, integrity and personal responsibility. We cannot be embarrassed out of out belief that two parents, married to each other, are better in most cases for children than one. That honest work is better than hand-outs - or crime. That we are our brother's keepers. That it's worth making an effort, even when rewards aren't immediate.
So I think the time has come to renew our public commitment to our Judeo-Christian values - in our churches and synagogues, our civic organizations and our schools. We are, as our children recite each morning, "one nation under God." That's a useful framework for acknowledging a duty and an authority higher than our own pleasures and personal ambitions.
-Vice President Quayle and the Murphy Brown Speech 8/92

Media feeding frenzyA feeding frenzy has begun against DeLay and Senator Frist. The media wants to bring down both congressional leaders. Do you want to know why? A colleague hit the nail on the head when he said, "Let's face it, the media hates Christians."
DeLay says foes seek to shut ethics panel
Posted on April 14, 2005House Majority Leader Tom DeLay accused Democrats of shutting down the chamber's ethics committee to prevent him from being exonerated of the ethics accusations against him.
The Culture War is going full strength. The Church is losing the battle. And like Goliath taunting the Israelites, Hollywood is daring the Church to send out it's best to fight.

NY Times' Bid to Enlist GOP Attacks Called 'Beyond the Pale'
>>>and media bias marches on!
A neurologist hired by Michael Schiavo to confirm that his wife Terri was in a persistent vegetative state said he was "105 percent sure" of that diagnosis, but Dr. Ronald Cranford expressed similar certainty about a patient he examined in 1980 who later regained both consciousness and the ability to communicate.

I'm pleased to announce that I've recently signed on with Mind and Media as a book reviewer. I stumbled upon this while looking up a reference on line. I hope to be of service and that my reviews are useful to Mind and Media, the author, and the readers. I am about a third of the way through the book I Don't Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist, by Norman L. Geisler and Frank Turek.
So far so good!

ACLU Founder Roger Baldwin
"I am for socialism, disarmament, and ultimately for abolishing the State itself as an instrument of violence and compulsion. I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal."
-Roger Baldwin, founder of the American Civil Liberties Union.Quoted in the National Federation for Decency Journal, September 1988. Page 9.Nuff said.Source #2
The nation's most formidable legal lobby, the ACLU, was founded in 1920 by the avowedly socialist Roger Baldwin, following his imprisonment for draft evasion, along with an assortment of Communist Party officials, radicals and anarchists. Baldwin, who directed the ACLU from 1920 to 1950, wrote for his college-reunion yearbook in 1935: "I have continued directing the unpopular fight for the rights of agitation, as director of the American Civil Liberties Union.... I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class and sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal." This sort of history has tended to annoy conservatives and, though a few have been able to overlook it to join, most have avoided membership in the ACLU Nonetheless, it now boasts a 50-state network including 300 local chapters.

The very first Christmas card that I received this December was from a Sikh friend in Thailand. He and his family fondly wished my family and me a Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year. As the cards continued to come in from all over the world, I realized that some were from Buddhists, some from Hindus, and yes, there were even similar greetings from Muslims. Growing up in India I remember often being greeted at Christmas with the words, “Bada din mubarrak,” which literally means “Greetings on the Big Day.” We would accordingly greet them in response and welcome them to our house for some sweets and delicacies.
Where is the Life we have lost in living?Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge?Where is the knowledge we have lost in information? The cycles of Heaven in twenty centuries Bring us farther from God and nearer to the Dust.

Bill Clinton Supports Rescuing Schiavo
As of this writing, the killing of Terri Schiavo has not been consummated, but it could be at any moment. There is no "letting her die" going on here, any more than we would be "letting" an infant die if we left him in his playpen and deprived him of food and water for 12 days.
The story used to be that the Left, broadly defined, was the party of love, compassion, softness — the large-hearted party. We used to say, "Bleeding hearts!" And the Right was cold, materialistic, callous — Hobbesian. What happened?
Eleanor Smith (who was quoted by Reuters, which was quoted by the Wall Street Journal) is a self-described liberal, lesbian, and agnostic — and yet she says, "At this point I would rather have a right-wing Christian decide my fate than an ACLU member."
"I think much of the Left's support of the so-called husband stems from the fact that they get a chance to stick it to George W. Bush and his religious supporters. They couldn't beat him at the ballot box, so Terri Schiavo's death becomes a sort of victory for them. Pretty hard to believe, but . . ."

Our culture of Death continues:
Mother arrested for attempting to intervene in her 14-year old's decision to have abortion
By the way, why did it take seven years for Mr. Shiavo to tell anyone that she didn't want to live as a vegetable (which she's not-so says multiple doctors)?
The Emporer's Not wearing any clothes! The Judicial system has revealed it's contempt for any branch of government but it's own (Denovo review disregarded!)
I wonder how Christopher Reeve would have felt about this. What if he wasn't able to communicate HIS will to live? Certainly Terri couldn't have anticipated this type of circumstance: semi-conscious, with feelings, emotions, etc...
Mostly, it's the public killing her to make a point about their opinion on a subject that isn't even apllicable to Terri. Sure, none of us would want to live indefinately in a coma with machines hanging off of us, but this is clearly not the case here. People just want it to be so they can advance their agenda. A lesson learned from the liberal play book.

I would like sarcstically thank the peace-niks and all those who believe that "all roads lead to god" for making nuclear terrorism possible. All Iranian scientists faithful to Allah can now do their duty to man-kind and Allah by spreading the gospel of nuclear bomb making to there brothers around the world everywhere. Good job guys! Your tolerance and "open-mindedness" has allowed this great service to become a reality, and now we can watch proliferation of death happen all around the world on a much grander scale than just killing babies and helpless women who need rehab as well as a feeding tube.

This is AMAZING!!! A Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren has re-surged back to the top. It's made it back to number 2 on Amazon's best seller list. This apparently because of the phenominal success hostage Ashley Smith had getting Brian Nichols (Atlanta murderer) to surrender.
Apparently, during her captivity, Miss Smith read to him from the Bible and A Purpose Driven Life which was, at least partially, responsible for his surrender. What a life this book has taken on!
